Notwithstanding the low height of the mountains Sweden has still mighty ski resorts where you can ski with enough challenge. Besides this the prices of the ski-passes in Dalarna are much lower than in the Alps.
Romme Alpin at Borlänge and Bjursås SkiCenter near Falun are the two largest ski resorts in the surroundings of Sifferbo. Both ski resorts certainly have snow, because they use snow machines. The ski season runs from half December until the end of March.
Children below the age of 8 can ski for free if they are in company of an adult with a ski-pass and these children must wear a helmet.
Romme Alpin
Romme Alpin is one of the largest ski resorts of Sweden with many and challenging ski possibilities.
In total there are 12 lifts (among others four 6 persons chair lifts) and 30 slopes (from green to black). Besides this there is a Juniorpark, a snowboard-skipark.
There is enough challenging down-hill action for the expert skiers and offers also many possibilities for the beginners and small children.
Ski material for skiing and snowboarding can be hired, this can be booked on-line. And of course there is a ski school, for all ages and ski levels. Furthermore there are the following facilities: a ski shop, two restaurants, a warmed room where you can rest, eat and drink and on the top of the mountain a real restaurant.
The ski resort is located 10 km south of Borlänge and less than a half hour car drive from our park.

Bjursås SkiCenter
Bjursås SkiCenter is one of Sweden's smaller resorts.
In total there are 7 lifts and 16 slopes (from green to black). The slopes are suitable for down-hill skiing, snowboarding and telemark-skiing. Besides this there is a great and fantastic snowboard park.
Bjursas SkiCenter is located 25 km north of Falun, 1 hour car drive, from our park.
Other ski resorts
Leksand has also a small ski resort, called Granberget. Here are 3 lifts and 5 runs and cross-country skiing possibilities.
This ski resort is perfect for beginners and families with young children.
